"With csgfx in DEVS:Monitors it is ~42 seconds [to] boot; without csgfx in DEVS:Monitors it is ~18 seconds [to] boot. ... My guess is that the [csgfx].card driver somehow calls the scsi.device. ... Having a terminator in the MB IDE does remove the delay in the start, but still adds the extra time when P96 is started with csgfx.card through DEVS:Monitors/csgfx. I will make a ROM with HRTMON so I can see what is happening." ["highpuff", April 4/5, 2022, Discord/CS-Lab Warp#warp1260]
"I was just doing a test and the Amiga reset and remained on the Kickstart screen without booting the system. I did a reset from the keyboard, but still the same thing—it still didn't want to boot. I didn't notice how much data was copied, but clearly there is a problem."
"I have just done further tests and the problem of copying large files applies not only to microSD in FAT32 format, but to this port in general. I copied from microSD (PFS3) to CompactFlash IDE Warp and on the 1.7 GB file it jammed almost immediately. Copying from microSD to microSD jammed to approx. 450 MB. In both cases without a reset, but everything is frozen, so no consolation. Attempting to copy a 1,024,000,000 byte file had a similar effect. A 716,800,000 poppy partition also failed. At the same time, this reached about 95%. Copying a 1,024,000,000 byte file from the Warp IDE to microSD caused a reset. Thus, the problem concerns two directions of copying. The processor in each case worked at 50 MHz. This issue does not occur when the file is copied to the motherboard IDE."
"It tests because ARM (its support) has some problems with writing on some cards (currently on one card). We do not know if it is a problem with [a specific] rev. [of] ARM processor. Fortunately, I want to check on these [microSD] cards if it is OK. Old type cards [e.g. slower than SanDisk "Ultra" or "Extreme"] are not recommended. I recommend buying new, fast cards (they are cheap)." [Cizar, June 1, 2021, Discord/CS-Lab Warp#warp1260]
"...and this Samsung monitor is particularly choosy about screen modes. It will display 1080 and 720 just fine, but anything else gives me an out-of-range error."
tboniasty adds more detail on this issue:
"Problem with timing of some graphics modes, manifested with "Out of range" information on a randomly-connected monitor with DVI input. At the beginning, I was not aware of the possibility of this ailment, because on a daily basis I use a monitor with a digital input found mainly in TV sets (and these are known for a lot of tolerance in terms of maintaining parameters by the supplied signal) and it simply worked as it should in the world. It was only Amiga's trip for testing and an unsuccessful attempt to connect another monitor via an HDMI-DVI cable (and then an HDMI-VGA converter for PLN 15), forced me to get acquainted with the subject. Bearing in mind the need to tweak the graphics modes on the Vampire card, I reached out to where I usually do, i.e. the P96 mode editor. Interestingly, it shows a kind of constant pixel clock (photo below) and cosmic refresh values for individual modes. I raised the issue with the authors and according to the information received, the modes are defined according to the description of the VESA standard, and the values in the P96 editor are slightly different from reality. Apparently the modes may need polishing to display correctly on some models. [Related P96 v3.1.2 note: The VESA mode templates of P96Mode lacked the sync polarity information. They have now been added.] As seen in the recordings Doriana, Warp 560 works fine for him with the Dell monitor. Also at the moment, until possible corrections are introduced, in case of any problems, you need to set up a TV or monitor with a digital input, just like in the TV. Alternatively, an additional HDMI / HDMI converter can be used, bringing the signal to full compliance with the specification."
