Q: Are there utilities available to fix or replace ToolsDaemon?
A:

To fix ToolsDaemon, see entry one of the Compatibility page. To replace it, the following two utilities/scripts are available:

  • John Nelson's "RxTD", available from his home page.
  • Roger Hågensen's "RunArgs", available from Aminet.

Q: Is there a FFS repair tool capable of working with drives over 4GB in size?
A:

Yes. Jörg Strohmayer's utility, "DiskMonTools" supports NSD and is able to salvage files. However, it doesn't have a fix-in-place mode. It is available from Aminet.
